1. Accountability
Fortunate SecOps Consulting Inc. operates FortuLearn Network and is responsible for personal information under its control. Our Privacy Officer can be contacted through the matching/contact form on the FortuLearn website; write “Privacy request” at the beginning of the goal field.
2. Information we collect
- Name, email, country, language and time zone.
- Learning goals, subject, availability and budget preference.
- Tutor profile, experience and qualification information.
- Matching requests, support messages, consent records and security logs.
- Basic website and device information needed for security and performance.
We do not intentionally collect information from minors, full payment-card details, immigration records, biometrics or lesson recordings.
3. Why we use it
We use information to provide requested matches, communicate about requests, administer profiles, prevent misuse, handle complaints, maintain security, meet legal obligations and improve the service using aggregated or de-identified insights where practical.
4. Consent
We request meaningful consent when collecting personal information. Optional marketing consent is separate and may be withdrawn. Withdrawing consent may limit features that require the information.
5. AI-assisted processing
Automated tools may organize request information and suggest potential matches. We do not use sensitive learning information to train public AI models. Users should not submit confidential employer, health, immigration or financial information.
6. Sharing
We share only information needed to make an accepted introduction. We may also use vetted service providers for hosting, communications, security and analytics under appropriate contractual restrictions. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud or immediate safety risks.
7. International processing
Tutors and service providers may be outside Canada. Information processed abroad may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We limit the information shared and use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the risk.
8. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations, complaints and security. We use access controls, encryption where appropriate, limited staff access and documented deletion. No security system is perfect.
9. Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of your information, withdraw optional marketing consent, or challenge our compliance. Some records may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for fraud, security or dispute records.
10. Breaches
We assess security incidents, keep required records and provide regulatory or individual notification where required by Canadian privacy law.
11. Updates
Material changes will be identified by a revised effective date and, where appropriate, direct notice or renewed consent.
