Terms of Use

1. Operator

FortuLearn Network is an operating name of Fortunate SecOps Consulting Inc. (“Fortunate”, “FortuLearn”, “we”, “us”). These terms govern use of the FortuLearn website and matching service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. FortuLearn does not accept accounts or matching requests from minors during its initial launch.

3. Our service

We help adult learners discover and contact independent tutors based on information supplied by learners and tutors. A match or profile placement is not an endorsement, teaching licence, background check, employment relationship or guarantee of suitability.

4. Tutor relationship

Tutors operate independently and are not employees, agents or representatives of Fortunate. Learners must independently evaluate a tutor before engaging them. The learner and tutor are solely responsible for agreeing on lesson scope, price, payment method, schedule, cancellation terms and refunds.

5. Payments and refunds

FortuLearn does not currently collect or hold lesson payments. Payment is made directly between learner and tutor. Lesson-payment disputes and refunds must therefore be resolved between those parties or through the payment method they selected.

If FortuLearn later sells a clearly identified paid matching or software service, the checkout will disclose its price, taxes, delivery and cancellation terms before purchase. Where FortuLearn fails to deliver that paid service as described, the purchaser may request a refund, subject to applicable consumer law.

6. Tutor information

Tutors must provide accurate identity, experience, location, language and qualification information. We may review documents or request clarification, but we do not promise that every statement has been independently verified. We may suspend or remove misleading, unsafe or inactive profiles.

7. Acceptable use

Users must not impersonate others, provide false information, harass or discriminate, solicit illegal services, bypass academic rules, transmit malware, scrape the site, or misuse another person’s information. Tutors must not complete examinations or produce work intended to be falsely submitted as a learner’s own.

8. AI-assisted features

Matching and planning features may use automated tools to organize user-supplied information. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and is reviewed as appropriate. It is not professional, academic, employment or immigration advice.

9. Complaints

Users may report false profiles, harassment, discrimination, academic misconduct or safety concerns. We may preserve relevant records, restrict a profile, request responses and take platform action. We do not adjudicate private lesson-payment disputes.

10. No outcome guarantee

We do not guarantee grades, certifications, employment, admission, language scores, income, tutor availability or the quality or outcome of independent tutoring.

11. Intellectual property

The FortuLearn website, brand, design and original content belong to Fortunate or its licensors. Users retain ownership of content they submit but permit us to use it as necessary to operate and improve the requested service.

12. Privacy and messages

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Service messages related to a request are separate from optional marketing messages.

13. Availability and termination

We may change, suspend or discontinue features and may restrict accounts that violate these terms or create safety, fraud or legal risk. Users may ask us to close their account, subject to necessary legal record retention.

14. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FortuLearn is not responsible for acts, omissions, statements, services or payments of independent tutors or learners. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that apply in another jurisdiction.

16. Contact

Questions or complaints may be submitted through the matching/contact form on the FortuLearn website. Begin the goal field with “Support request.” The service operator is Fortunate SecOps Consulting Inc., operating as FortuLearn Network, Ontario, Canada.
